As you may know I have been raising funds for my favorite charity - the MS Society - for a few months now. Firstly I must apologise for not posting since last week. There are a few reasons for this: this is a one man operation, just me - so if I don`t post anything, nothing gets posted. You may or may not be aware that I suffer with MS and have not felt too good recently. An added health problem I won`t go into has kept my mind occupied for the past week - hence why I have neglecting things here. The other reason is my host changed some settings server side and I was unable to alter the database, meaning it wouldn’t let me post on my own blog

Thankfully the last reason has now been sorted and I`m feeling somewhat better, so expect me back in the saddle and with my finger on the pulse of all that is PS3

If you read my previous post regarding the soon to be released Warhawk update 1.5, you will know that Incognito are including the winning paintjob and insignia designs from the recent European competition - which I reported here back in May.

I am dead pleased to inform you that I have had all 3 of my insignia designs included! These are the winning designs:

The first design on the second row down is mine, the monkey. On the bottom row the fifth and sixth designs are mine also, the dragon and the lizard!

All winners not only get to have their designs featured in-game in the 1.5 update, but also receive a limited edition Warhawk Statue

I have arrived in Penzance, Cornwall for a two week break. Internet access is quite limited, even with my Orange `Dongle` thingy as 3G seems quite unheard of where I am staying - so any articles I publish over the next fortnight may be quite small and unembellished with pictures and video - we shall see how frustrating it becomes.

Following recent downtime with our hosts PS3gamer has also undergone a few changes in order to greatly decrease loading times. I have altered things both cosmetically and behind the scenes - several features such as the Events Calendar and the New Releases page have been removed as they slowed the site down. I have employed a new plugin called Super-Cache which also does a great job of increasing speed. The only slight problem with this plugin is you won`t notice any speed increase if you are logged into the site - simply log out and you should notice a sizeable difference when navigating the site and reading articles.

You may have noticed I have not updated this blog much lately, this provided you can actually load the page: the reason for this is our host, Cirtex Hosting have been experiencing problems with the server this site is hosted on. They are currently making changes their end which should solve the problem. Fingers crossed everything will be back to normal next week.
