Have you got quite a full PSN Buddy list? If so you may want to consider trimming it down if you wish to play WipEout HD online. A bizarre bug has been found which causes PS3s to freeze and lock up if you try to play the game online when you have a sizeable buddy list.
Having cut my list down to 60 before installing WipEout I have not experienced any problems with the title which is brought bang up to date with the most beautiful HD graphics. Let`s hope a patch is released soon to cure this annoying niggle.

Weighing in at a modest 35 Mb the latest update - v1.5 – is now available to download. Simply fire up Burnout Paradise and you will be prompted to grab the update.
This patch brings with it trophy support, details of which in the full article.
UPDATE: We had thought the trophies would be retroactive. This however is NOT the case. This from Criterion:
Burnout Paradise saves are locked to your profile. We had hoped to use this to retroactively award trophies, but we discovered during testing that this is not possible. You will therefore require a fresh game-save to receive trophies in Burnout Paradise. If you’re familiar with PS3 trophies already, you’ll recognise that this works in the same way as all other games that have added trophy support post-release.
…which is a bit of a kick in the teeth if you are a Burnout veteran with hundreds of race miles under your belt. Is it worth starting all over again just for the trophies? I`m not so sure

Head over to Eurogamer now to claim one of 6000 free beta keys for LittleBigPlanet! At time of writing there are 4200 left. In order to qualify all you need to do is sign up to Eurogamer, unless you already have done. Click on this link for further information and details – but be prepared to keep hitting refresh as I`d imagine Eurogamer are getting quite a few hits right now
GO! NOW!
UPDATE: As expected the codes flew out, once people could actually get onto Eurogamer which appeared to be struggling under the strain. The beta isn`t officially due to begin until tomorrow but it was playable tonight. All I can say is yes, it lives up to the hype

Every street in the city features a Road Rules record time and Showtime score to beat. Take it online, and you’ll witness the seamless arrival of up to 7 friends. Collaborate with them to beat 350 Freeburn Challenges – simple challenges taking you all over Paradise City.
Once downloaded you will be prompted to download all the extra content including last week`s inclusion of motorcycles.Criterion also state that a patch delivering PS3 Trophy Support will be released imminently and included for free.
EU pricing has so far not been announced. In the US it will be $29.99 so a guess would put it around the £15 mark here. Great value for money in our opinion.
