A few LBP titbits have surfaced this week which are well worth your attention.
The first comes from an interview over at Gamasutra with Alex Evans, co-founder of Media Molecule. In the interview he talks at length about the fact he has “absolutely no regrets” making LittleBigPlanet a Sony PS3 exclusive, the AIAS game awards and user generated levels. It’s also interesting to hear that Media Molecule are “holding out hope for a PS3 price drop” to boost the LBP install base – adding fuel to the fire of the recent PS3 price drop rumours?
The second useful bit of LBP related info comes from the PlayStation Blog in the form of a release schedule for various upcoming DLC packs. It appears that MM will be keeping our interest in the game over the next month or so with the following:
-
March 17: St. Patrick's Day costume (Free)
-
March 19: Killzone Mini-Pack (paid for content)
-
March 26: BUZZ! Mini-Pack (paid for content)
-
April 2: Patapon costume (paid for content)
-
April 9: Heavenly Sword Mini-Pack (paid for content)
-
April 16: Monkey King costume (Free - the winning entry of the recent PlayStation Asia contest)
Good to see Media Molecule are committed to keeping their game fresh and interesting – even if it does cost us £3 every time!
